I am seriously thinking about doing the P90X workout

Traditionally I am not one to try gimmick products or routines, but I do like gadgets.   I’ve been watching those P90X commercials and I am fairly impressed with the way they are put together.  I’ve also been fairly impressed with the feedback I am reading on the web about the program.  I do not believe they are advertising as a something for nothing routine which usually spells gimmick on all the other programs I have seen on TV.  The Tony Horton guys seems very likable. If I get half of the results of some of the people I am seeing on blogs, I would consider the money well spent. 

Remember, I’m the guy that bought the perfect pushups at WalMart on a whim and promptly built a lot a muscle and lost about 30lbs.   When I bought the perfect pushups, I could only do about 10 reps of a good form pushup.  I have done sets during workouts recently with 25 reps.   I only point that out to show the potential level of commitment that I might have with a new workout program. 

My other option is something that I have really been wanting to do.  I have been looking at buying a treadmill.  My wife is really great runner, but she likes to run on the road.  I would like to start running, but I just dont have the time to get out on the road and run.  In my past life when I had access to a treadmill, I ultimately had some really good results.  I’ve read that you really should not run while you are doing the P90X workout because it is overkill.   The problem is that running will only take you so far when developing the perfect body that is my goal. 

I would have to buy a new set of dumbells and somehow figure out how to install a pullup bar somewhere in my home without my wife going nuts.  That would be the biggest challenge.  Maybe the P90X guys will send me the program free in exchange for posting the results on this blog that is read by thousands of people who fall directly in their target demographic. 

I think I am going to have to make the decision in the next week or so.  I want to spend the first few months of the next year getting to where I want to be.

Holy crap.  When I challenged my wife to a season long NFL pickem contest, I had no idea she was a football genius.  She is incredible at this game. 

I am not having a good season by any standards, but she is not making it easy.  She is 13-2 this week heading into the Monday Night Game.   Over the last three weeks, she is 35-8 at picking winners.  That is over 80% correct.  For the season, she is picking winners at almost a 70% rate.   After this horrible week, I’m shooting out winners at a dismal 55%.   I’ve only picked better than her three times this season.  Six weeks out of this year, she has picked over ten games correctly. 

 Sitting now at 22 games back for the season, I am all but mathematically eliminated from the win. This just proves the monkey throwing darts theory.

I came back and won week 12 after the wife’s incredible 13-1 week 11 performance.  Of course this week she is 3-0 after the Thanksgiving games against my 2-1.  I had written off the Eagles.  That puts me back to 15 games behind with just under 5 weeks left.  I need to make up 3+ games a week.  This might be the most incredible comeback ever.

Tonight was the night that every man dreads around this time of year.  It was the night that we pulled out the Christmas tree and decorated.  Of course, there was a short in the cord and that called for a trip to the store to buy new lights. 

Skip Ahead…

I’m standing there in WalMart looking at the thousands of options of decorative Christmas lights. My instructions were to get just white lights for the tree, maybe some blue, but nothing colorful.  Some boxes of lights only had 100 lights on them, and some had over 400 that had settings to blink, chase and phase on and off.  There were also gadgets to make them automatically come on at certain times, basically,  all the bells and whistles.

We had a little to much fun last night when a few beers turned into a few to many.  We really had a good time, but we are just to old for the hangovers.  I remember being young and drinking to 3 am only to wake up at noon the next day and do it again.  I think the best thing we can do now is eat a pizza and drink a lot of coke.  A few glasses of water after the pizza and wake up tomorrow feeling better.  That is the plan.

This the week that I have been waiting for.  Of all the sexy Jessica Simpson pictures, I really like this one the best.  The open shirt that is designed to obviously show the sexy bra is a very nice look for guys like me who enjoy boobs, cleavage, and sexy lingerie.   In a way, this is the ultimate cleavage shot.  I’ve seen more boobs in cleavage shots, but nothing as sexy as a leopard bra being show on purpose.
